As part of my Senior Thesis project at Hampshire college, I created a pair of “sound gloves.” Each one has an Arduino chip with an accelerometer and a gyroscope on it. When connected to a computer running Ableton, either via USB or Bluetooth, they will allow the user to make music/sounds based on their hands’ position in in space and various programmable gestures. Inspired by Imogen Heap’s “Mi.Mu” gloves.
